Derek joined the Rea team in 2006. A lifelong resident of Tuscarawas, Ohio, he has two children; Jordan & Ava.
Inside the Mind Of...Why do you do what you do? I enjoy working with people and I'm very analytical and detail-oriented. What did you learn your first year on the job that you still use today? Communication skills are vital, and being able to relate with people is vital.
What’s the best advice you've ever received? Always work hard, regardless of what type of job you're doing. Just For Fun...Describe yourself in one word. Easygoing. Before Rea
Derek obtained his associate's degree in accounting technology from Kent State University, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University if Northwestern Ohio. His past experience includes working as a staff accountant for a local CPA firm.
At Rea
Derek specializes in government work and GAAP conversions.
Besides Rea
Derek is a member of the Tuscarawas Youth Baseball Council.
