David joined the Rea team in 1979. A native of Massilon, Ohio, he now lives in Powell, Ohio with his wife Debbie. They have two grown children, Matt & Liz.

What’s your greatest accomplishment? As a parent, seeing our children pursue a college education.

How do you define success? Success is seeing our young team members advance in their careers.

What did you learn from Richard Rea that you still use/find value in today? Make client service an important part of your day.

Describe yourself in one word. Competitive.

What was the first car you ever owned? I paid $750 for a 1967 Plymouth Fury III.

What is the best musical you've seen? "Footloose" on Broadway.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Austria or the Swiss Alps.

How do you unwind? By watching a sporting event.

How do you spend April 16th? Beginning to fine-tune my golf game.

What was your favorite class in college? Civil War History.

Before Rea

David graduated from Mount Union College with a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a minor in history. 

At Rea

David specializes in general practice, and he is active in the Ohio Society of CPAs’ peer review program. In addition, he is a member of Rea's Operations committee and manager of the Dublin office.

Besides Rea

David's Professional Memberships:

  • The American Institute of CPAs
  • The Ohio Society of CPAs

He is also active in his community. His involvement includes:

  • United Way of Lima (audit committee member) 
  • Allen County Development Corporation (treasurer)
